The Help You Need During Challenging Times

Meet Julie Glocker Pierce

I have dedicated my career to helping people in Brevard County and nearby areas face and overcome their family law, estate planning and probate matters. I began practicing law in 1984.

More Than 40 Years Of Experience With Family Law

I offer my clients a combination of skill, experience and commitment to their well-being that differentiates me from other attorneys. I am committed to helping clients through the difficult times they are facing. I am also Board Certified in Marital And Family Law. I understand both the legal and the human sides of what people facing these issues are experiencing.

I am a trained Collaborative Family Law Attorney and am only accepting cases where the parties choose the collaborative approach or an uncontested dissolution. Parties who choose the collaborative approach are able to decide together what is best for their family. This does not mean that the parties are getting along. Both parties are represented by counsel and neutral financial expert is chosen, a mental health expert facilitates discussions so that the parties are kept on track with forming solutions for the future, instead of focusing on past hurts. Although four experts sounds expensive compared to litigation it is not only inexpensive, the process is quick. The vast majority of cases are resolved in less than six months, whereas, the average litigated matter in Brevard County takes two years. As for expense the parties generally spend less than half of what would be spent on a litigated matter. Finally, 86% of cases using the collaborative method come to a full resolution. If the matter cannot be resolved, the parties have signed a contract that they must choose new lawyers, which is a strong incentive to keep trying.

Why Board-Certified Matters To You

In 1995, I became board-certified in marital and family law by The Florida Bar. Board certification is the highest level of recognition by The Florida Bar of competency and experience of an attorney in their area of certification. Board-certified attorneys are the only lawyers allowed to identify themselves as experts in the area of practice. Board-certified attorneys must complete a rigorous written exam and have confidential recommendations from peers and judges.

They must complete an extensive questionnaire itemizing cases they have handled, the legal issues involved in those cases, and the percentage of their practice that is devoted to the area of specialty. I have to make similar demonstrations of skill and experience every five years to maintain my certification.
